What are Walnut Pads and how can you use them?
As professional window cleaners, we all know we need a good scrub pad in our kit for when the brush just won’t get that stubborn bit of dirt.
There are a number of options available and one of our favourites by far is the Walnut Pad.
So, what is it?
This innovative cleaning pad is made of recycled polyester and crushed walnut shells, which are added as a natural, non-scratch abrasive.
What can you use it for?
The Walnut Pad provides extra scrubbing and cleaning power for virtually any surface, such as glass, UPVC, conservatory roofs, cladding, painted surfaces, stainless steel and copper.
How can you use the pad for window cleaning?
Just like Bronze Wool, Walnut Pads are easy to attach to pad holders and are used with a water-fed pole.
We have recently added a video to our YouTube channel in which we demonstrate how these can be fitted to our standard and mini DA Pad Holders and DA Multi Tool/Mini Walnut Wool Pad Holder Kit (da-components.com). The pads can also be used on the Mayyker handy sleeve for gutter cleaning.
Tucker is a big fan of the Walnut Pads too and has even produced bespoke sizes to suit its popular Alpha Scrubber, which provides extra scrubbing power with the added bonus of a rinse bar and swivel angle adapter at the same time.
